Poetry Open Mic Nights

Fall is here, which means Poetry Open Mic Nights are back! Now in its 6th year, Allied Arts’ Poetry Open Mic Nights are offering new hosts and new poets. Readers and audience members come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, and range from teens to seniors.

Everyone community-wide is welcome to come read his or her work or watch local poets (from beginners to experts) wow the crowd. Each evening’s line up begins at 7pm on the second Wednesday of the month (September through March), and will be on a first come, first read basis, with each show emceed by a local poet. Refreshments will be served. Readers are encouraged to sign-up before the event at the Allied Arts office. If you have questions, would like to sign up to read, or would like to volunteer to host an Open Mic night, please call Allied Arts at 509-966-0930.
